What's included in an all-inclusive plan?
Every plan includes physician consultation, ongoing provider access, GLP-1 medication shipped every 28 days, required labs (baseline and follow-up), prescription support medications if clinically appropriate, dedicated care coaching, and secure patient portal access. No hidden fees.
How much does RenewMD cost?
All-inclusive plans start at $249 per 28-day cycle and include the provider visit, medication, labs, and coaching. Multi-month plans lower the per-cycle cost.
Is coaching an extra cost?
No. Care coaching is built into every plan because medication works best when paired with structured support.
What will the charge look like on my bank statement?
All charges appear as "Opnlp - RenewMD," the billing descriptor used by our clinical partner to consolidate payments on behalf of RenewMD.
Who provides the medical care?
All clinical care is provided by licensed U.S. healthcare providers through OpenLoop Health, an independent licensed telehealth infrastructure provider.
Which states do you serve?
RenewMD is available in 49 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. We are not able to serve Louisiana residents. State eligibility is confirmed during intake.
Why can't RenewMD serve Louisiana?
It is a medication-type restriction, not a provider-availability one. The clinical network includes licensed providers in all 50 states and D.C., including Louisiana, but Louisiana law does not permit prescribing compounded medications through this telehealth pathway — and compounded GLP-1 medications are the only medications our program offers. Louisiana residents should speak with a local licensed provider about FDA-approved GLP-1 options.
Do I need insurance?
No. RenewMD is a direct-pay telehealth program. You do not need insurance, prior authorization, or a referral.
Can I use my FSA or HSA?
Many patients use FSA or HSA funds for the program. We provide an itemized receipt; please confirm eligibility with your benefits administrator.
What medications might be prescribed?
If clinically appropriate, providers may prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide. All medications come from licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies.
Is compounded medication safe?
Compounded medications are prepared by state- and FDA-regulated compounding pharmacies that follow USP standards. RenewMD partners only with licensed pharmacies that conduct third-party testing.
What lab work is required?
Baseline labs (typically including a comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel, HbA1c, and TSH) are required before treatment begins, and follow-up labs are included during the program.
How long do I stay on a GLP-1?
Treatment length depends on your individual goals and clinical response. Your provider will discuss expected duration, maintenance options, and tapering strategies.
What are the most common side effects?
The most common side effects are nausea, constipation, fatigue, and reflux during dose escalation. Your provider and coach help you manage these proactively.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can pause or cancel your plan between cycles by contacting support@renewmd.clinic.
